What is "The Funnel"?

Some call it an "Elizabethan Collar," others, "The Cone of Shame." It's a big plastic device that keeps animals from biting themselves while their wounds heal. Whatever you may call it, I'm going with "funnel."

Life in the Funnel

Not to make too much of it, but a dog in a funnel is heartwrenching and hysterical. You want to rip the thing off and set him free...but you leave it on instead, and just laugh about the injustice of it all.

And a cat in a cone...even better! Even worse, I mean. Of course.

This is Pudge, who lives at Bohemia Artisans Emporium, where I held my CD release party. Pudge coincidentally had an eye infection and was funnel-bound just in time for the release. I SWEAR we did not do this to him on purpose! It was fate. Cruel fate.

Pudge!

Here are some other pics that y'all have been so kind as to contribute to my Funnel gallery:

A body-ectomy, apparently.
